FAQ
Is the image quality affected?
No. The PNG data is embedded unchanged, so the picture inside the PDF is identical to your file. Nothing is decoded or re-compressed.
Is transparency preserved?
The alpha channel is carried into the PDF, but how it displays depends on the viewer and on what sits behind the image. For a predictable result on a printed page, flatten the transparency onto a white background before converting.
Why is the page not A4?
The page matches the image at one point per pixel instead of fitting it to a paper size, so a large screenshot makes a large page. It still prints correctly because readers scale to the paper.
Can I combine several images into one PDF?
Not on this page — each image becomes its own single-page PDF. Merging them into one document is a separate operation, and it now has a page of its own: convert the images here, then use Merge PDF to assemble them in whatever order you like. Neither step uploads anything.
PNG or JPG as the source?
PNG for screenshots, diagrams, signatures and anything with text or sharp edges. JPG for photographs, where it is far smaller and the loss is not visible. Both are embedded directly, so neither is re-compressed on the way into the PDF.
Is the file size limit really 80 MB?
Yes. Image work holds a decoded bitmap in memory, where every pixel costs four bytes no matter how well the file compressed, so the ceiling sits far below the one for video conversions.
Is it really free?
Yes — every conversion on this site, with no account, no watermark and no daily cap. The work happens on your own device, so there is no server bill for us to pass on to you.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in any modern browser, on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. There is nothing to download and nothing to sign up for, and once the page has loaded it keeps working with the network switched off.
