Free, and there is no paid tier
No subscription, no trial that expires, no credit card, no email address to hand over, no watermark on the output and no daily quota. You open a page, drop in a file, and download the result.
There is nothing to upgrade to, which is why the limits below are described as constraints rather than as reasons to pay.
1. Why it is free
Because it costs almost nothing to run. Every other converter in this category uploads your file to a server, does the work on rented compute, and has to charge for that — or sell something else to cover it. This site sends the converter to you instead and runs it in your browser, on your own processor.
What that leaves us paying for is bandwidth: delivering the page, and delivering an engine file once to each visitor who needs it. The architecture that keeps your file private is the same one that makes the site cheap to run. They are not two features; they are one decision.
2. The honest limits
The ceilings below are real constraints, and they all come from the same place: the conversion happens in a browser tab, and a browser tab has a fixed amount of memory to work in. None of them is a lever we could pull for money.

3. What is not here
No API and no batch mode beyond converting several files in one go on the page. No account, so no history and no sync between devices. Word, Excel and PowerPoint cannot be converted **into** PDF here — rendering those faithfully needs a desktop office suite, which will not run in a tab.
If a conversion is ever added that genuinely needs a server, the page for it will say so above the converter, and this page will say what that costs. It will not become a paid tier by quietly appearing.
