1. What the service is

A set of free file conversions and PDF tools that run inside your browser on your own device. No account is required and nothing is charged. The pricing page sets out what free means here and where the real limits are.

Each page states where its work happens, in a badge above the converter. Today every one of them runs locally.

2. The files you process, and who is responsible for them

You are. The tools do not inspect what you give them and could not — your file never reaches us. You are responsible for having the right to process whatever you put in, and for what you do with the result.

Because the processing happens entirely on your machine, we have no ability to review, moderate, remove or restore anything. There is nothing on our side to act on. That is the direct consequence of the architecture, and it cuts both ways: we cannot read your documents, and we cannot help you if you lose them.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use this site to infringe copyright or other rights, to produce material that is unlawful where you are, or to attack the site itself — scraping at a rate that degrades it for other people, attempting to circumvent hosting protections, or probing for vulnerabilities without contacting us first.

We cannot enforce the first two, and we say so rather than claiming a moderation capability we do not have. The third we can and will.

4. No warranty

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Conversions are best-effort. Some are exact — changing a video container copies the streams across untouched, and FLAC encoding is lossless — and the pages say which. Others reconstruct something the source file never recorded: a PDF stores positioned glyphs rather than paragraphs, so converting one to Word, Markdown or a spreadsheet involves inference, and inference is sometimes wrong.

Text recognition on scanned pages is good but not guaranteed; stamps, handwriting and skewed pages come out worse. Nothing here should be the only copy of anything. Keep your originals.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this site, including lost or corrupted files, incorrect output, or anything that follows from relying on a conversion. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

6. The software this is built on

This site is assembled from open-source components, and two of them carry obligations worth naming rather than burying.

The conversion engine for video and audio is a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg, distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. The PDF tools use pdf-lib (MIT) and pdf.js (Apache-2.0); Word output uses docx (MIT); archives use fflate (MIT); text recognition runs PP-OCRv5 through onnxruntime-web (MIT). Their licence texts travel with the files themselves and are available at the contact address below.

These components are provided by their authors without warranty, and their licences imply no endorsement of this site by them.

7. Intellectual property in the site itself

The name, the design and the written content of this site are ours. What you produce with the tools is not: we claim no rights over your output and grant ourselves no licence to it, which would be difficult in any case given that we never see it.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows when they last were, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised version.
